Refunds and Cancellations
We understand that unforeseen emergencies can arise. In such situations, Rukiye Zara offers the following provisions for cancellations:
- Eligibility for Emergency Cancellation: Guests may request an emergency cancellation in cases including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters impacting the Guest or Host location (e.g., earthquakes, floods).
- Severe travel disruptions (e.g., government-imposed travel bans).
- Documentation Requirements: Guests must provide verifiable documentation to support their emergency claim, such as medical certificates, valid government notices.
- Refund Terms: Refunds or credits for emergency cancellations will be processed as follows:
- If approved, the refund amount will be subject to the Host’s policy.
- Guests may receive a partial or full refund, or a booking credit for future stays.
- Non-Qualifying Circumstances: The following do not qualify as emergencies:
- Minor illnesses or inconveniences.
- Change of personal plans or preferences.
- Weather conditions not impacting the property or Guest’s travel ability.
- Government obligations like jury duty or court appearances.
- Non-binding travel advisories or other government guidance that fall short of a travel ban or prohibition.
- Transport disruptions unrelated to a covered Event, such as airline insolvency, transport strikes and road closures due to maintenance.
- Host Cancellations: In case of emergencies impacting the Host, Rukiye Zara will work to rebook Guests in similar accommodations or process applicable refunds.
For reservations not covered by this policy, we encourage guests and hosts to collaborate and agree on an amicable solution, such as adjusting the booking dates or arranging a full or partial refund. Please note, any refunds beyond the terms of the cancellation policy are entirely at the host’s discretion. Our platform does not facilitate or guarantee these arrangements.
